About The Project 

WeRate is a mobile app that allows people to check-in, review and discover local businesses! We offer social and gamified experiences and bring trust back in online reviews through blockchain, AI, and decentralised ownership. Our goal is to become the worlds first community owned reccomendation platform in the world.

WeRate is supported by the Solana Foundation.

As we scale towards mass adoption and prepare for our next funding round, we’re looking for top-tier senior developers to help us build.

Your role

React Native Frontend Development:

• Develop and maintain the mobile application, ensuring high performance and seamless user experience.

• Implement Solana interactions and integrate wallets

Backend & Microservices

• Support and contribute to the migration from Node.js (Fastify, TypeScript, PostgreSQL,

• Drizzle ORM) to Golang microservices.

• Develop scalable and secure backend services using Golang.

• Deploy and manage services on Cloudflare and AWS.

• Work with Docker and containerization (Kubernetes experience is a plus).

Crypto & Blockchain (Web3 Integration)

• Work on Solana programs (Rust) for reputation tracking, rewards, and NFTs.

• Assist in designing off-chain and on-chain data synchronization.

• Optimize blockchain interactions, focusing on efficiency, transaction costs, and indexing.

Scalability & DevOps

• Improve API performance and system reliability under high loads.

• Work across Golang, Rust (Solana), and TypeScript for different system components.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), infrastructure monitoring, and security best practices.

Skills

• Experience with React Native (TypeScript, performance optimization, mobile UI/UX best practices).

• Expertise with Golang (or Rust) for backend microservices

• Backend experience in Node.js (Fastify, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM preferred).

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and system scalability.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerization (Kubernetes is a bonus).

• Understanding of blockchain/Web3 fundamentals, including smart contract interactions.Can implement a responsive that is compatible with most devices and browsers

About the project

During the project you are required to participate in regular progress meetings and contribute as part of the weRate team.

The project is expected to be completed within 1 month. The goal is to assess your skills and attitude, and after a positive assessment offer you a long term contract with a combination wage + tokendeal.

Payment terms

100% of the agreed compensation will be paid upon completion of the month. If the project results in a long term hire, new terms can be discussed.
