About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and security-focused Solana Smart Contract Developer to optimize, enhance, and prepare our parimutuel betting program for production. The program, currently functional on Devnet, interacts with Metaplex core libraries and requires additional functionality, optimizations, and rigorous security testing.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a project at the forefront of blockchain gaming, helping to ensure its robustness, scalability, and security.
 

Responsibilities

The project will involve developing a responsive and visually appealing website interface. The tech stack will include but not be limited to:

• Optimization: Enhance and refine the existing smart contract for efficiency and scalability.

• Functionality Additions: Implement new features as per the project requirements.

• Security Testing: Conduct thorough security reviews, implement best practices, and prepare for external audits.

• Metaplex Integration: Ensure seamless interaction with Metaplex Core libraries for mint, and burn as well as Metaplex Aura for querying.

• Production Readiness: Prepare the contract for deployment from Devnet to Mainnet.

Required Skills and Experience

• Programming: Advanced proficiency in Rust with strong understanding of Solana’s account model and Program Derived Addresses (PDAs).

• Blockchain Expertise: 2+ years of experience in Solana program development, with a track record of deploying secure and scalable smart contracts.

• Development Frameworks:

  • Expertise in the Anchor Framework.

  • Familiarity with Solana Program Library (SPL) and solana-web3.js.

• Testing:

  • Experience with Rust unit testing and Anchor testing frameworks.

  • Ability to design and execute program integration tests.

• Security:

  • Strong understanding of blockchain security best practices, including ownership validation, multi-signature governance, and rate-limiting mechanisms.

  • Familiarity with audit preparation and emergency procedure development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with DeFi protocols and smart contract architectures.

• Familiarity with the Metaplex ecosystem.

• Strong background in performance monitoring and on-chain data validation.

• Knowledge of dynamic protocol registry management using PDAs.

Deliverables

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering the following:

1. Technical Documentation:

   • Architecture specifications.

   • Deployment guides and security analysis.

2. Smart Contract Code:

   • Optimized and enhanced contract source code.

   • Comprehensive testing suite and deployment scripts.

3. Security Documentation:

   • Risk assessment report.

   • Audit preparation materials.

   • Emergency procedures documentation.

Evaluation Criteria

We will assess candidates based on the following:

• Proven experience in Solana smart contract development.

• Strong programming and problem-solving skills in Rust.

• Ability to write secure, maintainable, and scalable code.

• Familiarity with Anchor Framework and Solana’s security best practices.

• Demonstrated experience in deploying production-ready smart contracts.

Project Timeline and Payment Structure

• Duration: Negotiable based on candidate availability.

• Payment Milestones:

  • 25% upon project initiation.

  • 50% at milestone completion.

  • 25% upon final delivery and successful audit.
