We all know that DAOs are supposed to allow anyone holding governance tokens to propose changes, vote, and actively shape the future of the project. However, not all “DAOs” live up to this ideal. Some are so permissioned that even governance token holders can’t post proposals without permission from the core team.

That’s why this bounty focuses only on DAOs built on Realms—because if you can’t propose, you can’t truly govern, and Realms is currently the best platform on Solana that empowers actual decentralized governance. By shining a light on Realms-based DAOs, we want to show the community which DAOs are doing interesting things beyond the basics of “vote and propose.”

From perks and membership benefits to real work opportunities and tangible advantages, we want your content to dig into the most valuable and exciting DAOs on i the ecosystem.

Bounty Scope

We’re looking for original content (written or video) that explores any Realms-based DAO(s) on Solana. Your piece should highlight:

1. Why these DAOs matter and how they go above and beyond basic governance.

2. Opportunities/perks/advantages of being a member in these DAOs (e.g., work opportunities, platform benefits, governance power, and more).

3. How Realms-based DAOs differ from other so-called DAOs that are heavily permissioned.

Allowed Content Formats

• Written articles (minimum 1000 words)

• Videos (minimum 2 minutes)

Note: Only one submission per participant is allowed.

Content Criteria: “DAOs That Do Something”

Your content must cover one or more DAOs on Realms that provide tangible value or interesting benefits to their members.

Some examples of what you can include:

• Membership Perks or Work Opportunities

  • Can members contribute and get paid?

  • Are there unique benefits, e.g., discounted protocol fees, airdrops, exclusive access?

  • Is there a clear and well defined path for the above articulated by the protocol/DAO?

• Governance & Community Dynamics

  • Describe how proposals are created and voted upon. Governance requirements (ie $x in order to be able to put a proposal onchain).

  • Show specific examples of how the DAO is shaped by its members’ proposals.

• Why Realms?

  • Briefly explain why Realms-based DAOs are the “true” DAOs on Solana.

  • Compare them to other heavily permissioned “DAOs” where members aren’t allowed to create proposals.

Disclaimer: Submissions that showcase “DAOs” not running on Realms or do not allow—or fail to articulate a clear path for—members to freely propose and vote onchain will be disqualified.

Submission Requirements

1. Original, New Content

   • Must be published during the sprint (after submissions open and before the deadline).

2. No Plagiarism or AI-Written Content

   • We reserve the right to disqualify any content that appears AI-generated or plagiarized.

3. One Submission per Person

   • Multiple submissions will be disqualified.

4. Minimum Length

   • Written: 1000 words

   • Video: 2 minutes

5. Promotion/Posting

   • Post your piece publicly on a platform of your choice (YouTube, etc.).

   • MUST share on X/Twitter as well—include a link to the original and (to the minimum) tag @RealmsDaos.

   Preferred Posting Order for X/Twitter

   1. X Article with images, explainers, etc.

   2. X Thread with images, explainers, etc.

   3. YouTube Video: If you submit a YouTube video, you must share at least a portion of it natively on X (e.g., a soundbite or short clip) and link to the full video in a follow-up tweet. Tag @RealmsDaos and all DAOs mentioned in your content.

6. DAO Eligibility

   • Only DAOs that articulate a clear path for—members to freely propose and vote onchain

7. Submission Form

   • Submit your final link (article, video, etc.) through the Earn portal with proof of your X/Twitter post.

Pro Tip: Tagging other relevant DAOs in your post can be a bonus—just don’t spam tags.

   1. Which platforms can I post my content on?

      • Anywhere public (personal blog, YouTube, etc.). You must also share it via X/Twitter and tag @RealmsDaos.

      • We will give preference to content published natively on X/Twitter—an X Article, an X Thread, or at least a native clip of your YouTube video on X.

   2. Does the content have to be entirely new?

      • Yes. You can’t recycle old content. Your submission must be published during the sprint window.

   3. Is AI assistance allowed?

      • We strongly discourage AI-written submissions. If we detect AI-generated content, we reserve the right to disqualify.

   4. Can I feature multiple DAOs in one submission?

      • Absolutely. Just make sure they are Realms-based and you cover them in enough depth. Remember to tag @RealmsDaos and all DAOs mentioned in your content.

   5. Can I submit more than one piece of content?

      • No. Only one submission per participant will be accepted.
