Intro

Solana Summit APAC Hackathon is a hackathon for the attendees of the first-ever Solana Summit Conference. Unlike usual hackathons that gives out problem statements on the 1st day and expect the participants to hack out projects in 2 days and demo on the spot to win prizes, this hackathon is more like an open-topic (as long as it is Solana related), open to all to participate, with no strict requirements on the project start date as eligibility criteria.

• Created an account on https://earn.superteam.fun/ and submitted your project on the platform

• Provided team details (see below)

Team Details

• Team name

• Project name (can be the same as team name)

• Team country (just for reference, to your best ability) 

• Team leader name

• Team leader email

• Team leader WhatsApp Number

• Team leader Telegram handle

• Team member contact details (names, emails, WhatsApp numbers, Telegram handles) 
  

Judging Criteria

This will primarily be a business case challenge, which means that product market fit, founder market fit, distribution, uniqueness of the idea, and presentation design and style is important. Submitting code will greatly improve your chances of success. 

Each Project Submission will be judged by a panel of judges determined by Administrator in accordance with the following criteria:

(a) Functionality: How well does this Project Submission work? What is the quality of the code

(b) Potential Impact: How big is the total addressable market for this Project Submission? What will be the impact of this Project Submission on the broader Solana ecosystem?

(c) Novelty: How unique is this Project Submission’s concept?

(d) UX: How well does this Project Submission utilize Solana's performance to create great UX for downstream users?

(e) Composability and integration: Is this Project Submission a public good? How well does the Project Submission compose with other primitives in the Solana ecosystem?

(f) Business Plan: Is there a viable business that can be built in the future around this Submission?

Submission requirements:

• Pitch deck (Must have! Just need to add one slide at least on how to incorporate blockchain elements e.g. “pay with crypto”, “earn NFT badges” etc)

• Elevator pitch video of explanation of pitch deck (Must have! Just need to do a 3 minute screen recording of you pitching your deck!)

• Link to socials for your projects (preferably Twitter) 

• Link to code base on GitHub

Code Base Details:

• Open-sourced and public goods projects that benefit the Solana Ecosystem as a whole are highly encouraged

• However, if you prefer to keep your source code private, you can add @EngineeringSuperteamMY on GitHub to your repository with “view” status

Other Info:

The most important submission is the pitch deck and video recording of your pitch, treat it as a business case challenge. Submitting code will greatly boost your chances of winning, but the business case is the priority. 

Demo Day Info: (subject to change)

30 top projects will be shortlisted and given the opportunity to physically demo their project in front of judges and VCs. 

Each team will be given 3 minutes to demo their project. Please prepare your presentation slides on the afternoon of 22 June 2024 at the conference. 

If you are shortlisted, our team will reach out to you for details on what to expect on Demo Day. If you have not been contacted, unfortunately you have not been shortlisted. 

Note that we will only be announcing the shortlisted projects on 21 June 2024. Hence, all participants of this hackathon are expected to attend the conference, shortlisted or not. Please specify you are a hackathon participant and reach out if you need to be approved for the conference.
