About the Bounty

Marinade is a community success story on Solana. Funded with just $80,000 grant, Marinade was the first liquid staking protocol to go live on Solana in August, 2021. Since then, the protocol has achieved the #1 spot by TVL on Solana and grown into a fully on-chain DAO through the MNDE governance token.

Marinade is seeking a deep dive to explore the unique value proposition of Marinade through its unique and permissionless delegation strategy that enables both Native and liquid staking SOL, combined with the community DAO power of the MNDE token. Use the available public tools at Marinade like the Docs, performance dashboard, and Validator Dashboard and Realms governance to see how Marinade is supplying an array of robust tooling for stakers of SOL in the ecosystem.

Evaluation Criteria

Depth

• Explanation of Marinade's ethos (How was it funded? Who controls the protocol? What is its long-term mission?)

• How does liquid staking work?

• What is Marinade Native?

• What are the benefits of "Directed Stake"?

• Explanation of DAO governance on Realms

• What are some ways that staking to a single validator may be risky?

• What sets Marinade's stake delegation strategy apart?

• Did you try the competition and explain relative pros/cons of this project?

• Marinade's commitment to open-source and transparent building and governance.

• Visual (video or infographic) explanations of Marinade embedded.

Writing Style

• Does the writing provide a clear explanation about staking to a SOL newcomer?

• Is the writing concise with no filler?

• Did you avoid overly complex jargon?

• Did you explain concepts in a way a person new to crypto could understand?

Submission Requirements

• Did you write your essay in English?

• Is your submission at least 1,000 words? Note that typical bounty winners are ~2,000 words.
