What is proto ?

Proto is a user-generated, token-incentivized map of IRL places.

Imagine recording & earning by adding data about every alley, every hidden cafe, every shop, and every IRL condition you see and visit.

And enhancing those earnings by adding information beyond what satellites in the sky or vehicles on the road capture.

IRL Places + Your Insights = Maps

That's what Proto helps you do. Our app lets you earn for the data you contribute & lets you build a stream of content with long term potential.

All maps are content, and you can make them everyday when you walk out of your house and hail a cab, get a coffee or walk your dog. And every time you make them on Proto, you earn, you build content and you create your own moat.

Proto helps you catalog, share and monetize the everyday actions, places and trips that make up your life.

How does it work ?

1. The easiest way to start, is to download our app & start mapping your immediate neighborhood. Find a specific type of place that interests you.
   A Shop in your neighborhood, a pothole on your way to work or an annoying neighbors house. As you map more, you will find your niche and become better at mapping what you're most interested in.
   

2. But mapping is more fun socially, which is why we organize "Map-a-thon's"
   Day long events where people get together in their neighborhood of choice and map it out together. As you go to more, you'll start building your tribe.
   

3. And finally, if you've really made up your mind to just get crazy and map out something massive. Hit us up, we'll help you get there!

Your Mission: Become an expert on Proto and summarize your findings in a Twitter thread with 6+ tweets. 

Evaluation Criteria

Depth

• Does your thread talk cover the points mentioned above in your own words ?

• Did you present a compelling narrative about Proto ?

• Does your thread include screenshots from the app & images to demonstrate value to readers ?

• Does your thread end with a CTA to download and start mapping on Proto ?

  
  

Writing Style

• Is your writing easy and fun to read?

• Did you avoid overly complex jargon?

• Did you explain concepts in a way a person new to crypto could understand?

  
  

Submission Requirements

• Did you tag @dp_proto in your Tweet thread, along with @SuperteamDAO?

Bonus points if,

• You share your thread on Instagram as a story and tag @dp_proto

  or

• You share your thread on Warpcast/Supercaster and tag @protomap.

Rewards

1. First Place: $350 + 650 in-app points

2. Second Place: $250 + 500 in-app points

3. Third Place: $150 + 250 in-app points

4. 4th through 6th Place : 150 in-app points each
   

   In-app points are redeemable for USDC now and will convert to a native token soon.
