About the Bounty

Decentralised.co & Superteam India are teaming up on this bounty for the most in-depth & exhaustive report on the state of consumer crypto apps.

We're inviting analysts & researchers who are interested in consumer crypto to draft the ultimate consumer crypto app report. The ideal submission will,

• explain why now is a great time to build consumer apps. What was missing in terms of infra that is now available?

• go deeper into the stack that powers these apps and spend time unravelling the key pieces on infra that powers these apps

• include the top consumer apps across major blockchains (Solana, Ethereum, L2s, etc)

• categorise and share how some of the best performers in this segment are doing better than the rest

• explain what each app does, how it acquired early users, what's the viral loop built in, the tokenomics, etc.?

• include feedback from the Discord, Telegram and a broader user base

• not just provide a list of apps, but be opinionated about their future potential, provide areas of improvement, etc.

• include suggestions from consumer apps that don't exist but you think should

• compare and contrast the state of apps across different blockchain ecosystems and comment on what each ecosystem can do to improve the growth of consumer apps

• optional - include screenshots or videos from the onboarding and other important screens, etc.

  
  

Evaluation Criteria

Quality

• How did your submission score on the criteria outlined above?

• Is your essay the one stop resource for anyone looking to get upto speed on consumer crypto?

• No plagiarism will be entertained and results in immediate disqualification

• Original insights valued above walls of text

Writing Style

• Did you write a compelling introduction and a satisfying conclusion?

• Is your writing easy and fun to read?

• Did you avoid overly complex jargon?

• Did you explain concepts in a way a person new to crypto could understand? 

Submission Requirements

• Did you submit a public link (Google Doc, Notion, Substack, Medium, Twitter Article, etc all ok)

• Did you write your essay in English?

• Is your submission at least 3,000 words? Typical bounty winners are ~2,000 words but this bounty covers a lot of different nuances

• Did you include links to your sources under the title “References”? If you have used external sources and no references are included, your bounty could be rejected on grounds of plagiarism.
