<h4 class="heading-node">Partner Info – Startit</h4>Startit is a leading tech organization and community in Serbia, with over a decade of experience helping local startups and developers through education, mentorship, and a strong network. With hubs across the country, Startit plays a key role in the local tech ecosystem and regularly works with both global and local partners on innovation-focused projects.It’s also the only organization of its kind in Serbia to have partnered with Google through the <a class="link" href="https://blog.google/technology/research/powered-by-launchpad/" target="_blank">Launchpad Accelerator</a>. Together, they created a hands-on entrepreneurship course for computer science students, helping them turn ideas into real products and startups.Given this background, Startit is a great fit for this initiative. The goal is to bring Web3 closer to the local startup scene in a way that’s practical and relevant, and Startit knows how to connect technical talent with real opportunities.<hr><h3 class="heading-node">Hackathon Track: Build Real-World Use Cases with Solana</h3>In partnership with Startit, Superteam Balkan proposes a local track at the Colosseum hackathon in Belgrade focused on solving real-world problems from traditional industries using Web3 technologies.This track will focus on:<ul class="list-node"><li>Tokenization and Web3 loyalty solutions for local e-commerce brands</li><li>Supply chain transparency for domestic producers and logistics</li><li>Web3 education and onboarding for the dev &amp; design community currently working in Web2</li></ul><hr><h3 class="heading-node">Project Ideas</h3>Participants are encouraged to build on the following concepts or propose their own:<ol class="list-node"><li>NFT-based loyalty system for local cafes and shops – collect NFT points for discounts</li><li>Decentralized cooperative for small producers – shared ownership and voting rights</li><li>Cowork DAO – a community-managed coworking space</li><li>Blockchain donations for soup kitchens – 100% transparent, tracked on Solana</li><li>Local event ticketing with NFT tickets that are tradable and verifiable</li><li>“Plastic DAO” – companies contribute, citizens vote on funding for eco-projects</li><li>Skill verification on Solana – course completions certified on-chain (e.g. Startit courses)</li><li>Blockchain based CV – a profile with verifiable project experience, certificates, and reputation</li><li>Local Bounty Board – listings for micro-tasks and bug fixes from Serbia, paid in stablecoins</li><li>Crypto scholarships – DAO-funded scholarships for courses and conferences</li><li>Web3 loyalty card – one NFT card usable across multiple locations in the city</li><li>Solana for municipalities – proposal and voting system for local budget allocation</li><li>Hackathon builder score – on-chain reputation system for hackathon participants</li><li>Community-owned digital asset – token representing shared stake in a local asset (e.g. solar panels)</li><li>Tokenized wines and rakijas – limited edition bottles as NFTs, redeemable or tradable</li></ol><hr><h3 class="heading-node">Pitch Requirements &amp; Judging Criteria</h3>Projects will be evaluated based on the following:<ul class="list-node"><li>Usability – Is the product intuitive and valuable for the local community?</li><li>Blockchain relevance – Does Solana play a central role in solving the problem?</li><li>Adoptability – Is it easy to imagine people actually using this product?</li><li>Wow factor – Is the idea new, engaging, and relevant?</li></ul><hr><h3 class="heading-node">The Plan</h3><ul class="list-node"><li>A 5-day hybrid event (IRL + online) in Belgrade, hosted at Startit Center</li><li>Hackathon teams can use the space for coworking and mentoring</li><li>Daily mini-workshops and one final Demo Day</li><li>Participants submit both their projects and business plans, as with the global hackathon</li><li>Top teams will receive:<ul class="list-node"><li>$10.000 USDC prize pool (sponsored by Solana)</li><li>Access to global Colosseum rewards and accelerator</li><li>1-on-1 mentorship and pitch opportunity with Superteam and Solana teams</li></ul></li></ul><hr><h3 class="heading-node">Why This Matters</h3>This track is designed to engage builders who are not yet in Web3 but have the skills and drive to create real-world blockchain solutions.With Startit's established presence in the startup and education space, we can attract founders and developers who want to build meaningful, scalable Web3 products—not just short-term hackathon projects.By leveraging Solana’s speed, low fees, and scalability, we can bring practical, impactful blockchain solutions to industries that need them the most.
