The Solscan Monitoring Masters hackathon challenges developers to build real-time (or near real-time) monitoring tools, dashboards, and alert systems on the Solana blockchain. By leveraging Solscan’s comprehensive APIs, participants will demonstrate how Solana’s on-chain data can be accessed and utilized to enhance transparency, detect suspicious activity, and promote security across the ecosystem.
There’s a lingering misconception that “Solana’s data layer is too complex.” In reality, modern developer tools—like Solscan’s APIs—make on-chain data more accessible than many realize. This hackathon invites you to demonstrate just how approachable Solana’s data can be by creating monitoring solutions that provide real-time (or near real-time) insights, enhance security, and drive transparency. Whether you build an alert bot, a dashboard, or an analytics tool, we want to see how you’ll turn raw on-chain data into actionable information.
Below are some example ideas to help spark your creativity. Feel free to pursue any monitoring or scanning concept that demonstrates the power of Solscan’s APIs—you are not limited to these suggestions:
Liquidity & DEX Dynamics Monitoring
Track liquidity flows, price movements, or swap activities across Solana DEXs
Identify potential manipulations, arbitrage opportunities, or volume anomalies
Example: A real-time dashboard that visualizes liquidity changes and triggers notifications for sudden spikes
Whale Activity & Token Flow Monitoring
Monitor large wallet movements using Solscan’s watchlists or token/account leaderboards
Visualize token flows to and from major addresses, CEXs, or aggregator protocols
Example: A whale alert bot that pings a channel whenever a known whale executes high-volume transfers
Social Sentiment & On-Chain Correlation Monitoring
Aggregate sentiment data from platforms like Twitter, Telegram, Discord, etc.
Detect correlations between sentiment shifts and on-chain activity
Example: An alert system that flags suspicious wallet activity following “pumps” in social channels
Use Solscan’s API in some capacity—choose any relevant endpoint(s), such as account details, token transfers, watchlists, leaderboards, market data, etc.
Demonstrate practical utility for monitoring on Solana—whether it’s a dashboard, bot alert system, or any other implementation.
Real-time or near real-time functionality is encouraged, although historical or batched data is also valid if it suits your project use case.
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
Implementation & Use of Solscan Tools
Innovation & Creativity
Usability & Documentation
Practical Utility
Solscan PRO – Register for an API key (free trial available).
Solscan API Documentation – Explore endpoints for account details, token transfers, watchlists, leaderboards, DEX transactions, market data, etc.
The Solana ecosystem benefits tremendously from robust monitoring tools. By harnessing Solscan’s robust API, participants will not only contribute critical security and transparency insights but also demonstrate how accessible and versatile Solana’s on-chain data really is. Your solutions will help bolster trust, provide more visibility, and protect users within the Solana community.
We encourage creativity and flexibility in how you present your project. However, submissions must be in English and should include the following to ensure a fair and thorough review:
Project Overview
Format: A slide deck (PDF/online), written document (PDF/Google Doc), detailed README, or blog-style post—whichever you prefer.
Suggested Topics (Optional):
Objectives & Scope: The problem you aim to solve or the insight you offer
Technical Architecture: How your project is set up, including which Solscan APIs you use and why
Data Flow & Logic: How you fetch/process on-chain data (real-time, near real-time, or historical)
Challenges & Solutions: Any hurdles you faced and how you overcame them
Impact & Relevance: How your solution benefits transparency, security, or user experience in the Solana ecosystem
Working Demo or Deployed Application
Provide a link or clear instructions for how to access and test your solution (web app, CLI tool, etc.).
Source Code Repository
A publicly accessible repository (e.g., GitHub)
Includes setup instructions, usage guidelines, and a clear folder structure
Original Work Requirement
All submissions must be original. Any plagiarized or duplicated work will lead to disqualification.
(Optional but Recommended) 3–5 Minute Video Walkthrough
A concise demo showcasing your solution’s key features and user experience
Helps judges quickly grasp your project’s scope and functionality
Note: The Suggested Topics are merely guidelines; you’re free to structure your overview however best showcases your work.
Ready to showcase your creativity and technical prowess?
Join the Solscan Monitoring Masters Hackathon, build something extraordinary, and help elevate the entire Solana ecosystem. We can’t wait to see what you create!
