About PubliWrite

PubliWrite is an all-in-one IP Management and book publishing platform, enabling authors from idea conception to distributing their product via proprietary digital and physical channels. We are currently live with 2,000 monthly active users.

Our collaborative editor facilitates over 7,000 words written daily, equivalent to a new Harry Potter book every 10 days or two Bitcoin Whitepapers per day. We have our own marketplace, where authors can sell digital or physical copies of their books and retain 80% of the royalties.

We've recently expanded our stack with an on-chain licensing MVP that enables authors to certify and license their work for AI training - an urgent and underserved use case. Authors can log in via social accounts or Solana wallets, prove authorship via Bitcoin inscription (Proof of Existence), and set their licensing terms. Licensees can pay in fiat (Stripe) or USDC (Solana) and receive tokenised agreements on Solana.

Our system integrates Bitcoin for proof/IP registry, IPFS for storage, and Solana for fast, programmable licensing. Future versions will expand into broader licensing and fractionalized, composable IP.

This project aims to gather crucial insights from experienced authors to refine our platform and better serve the writing community.

Project Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking published authors to participate in a 30-minute remote interview. The primary goals of this project are to:

• Understand the author's journey from writing to publication and distribution and then subsequent distribution.

• Gather direct feedback on the current PubliWrite product.

• Identify existing pain points, missing tools, or areas where current solutions fall short in the author's workflow.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for authors who meet the following criteria:

• Published author (traditionally or self-published) with at least 1,000 units sold.

• At least one title released or updated in the past 12 months.

• Maintains a regular writing practice (e.g., ≥ 500 words/week or ≥ 2,000 words/project/month).

• Uses digital editing or collaboration tools (e.g., Google Docs, Scrivener, PubliWrite).

• Has experience with both digital and physical distribution channels.

• Comfortable with or aware of MarTech/marketing practices, able to explain how they built an audience.

• Willing and available for a 30-minute remote interview within the next month.

• Fluent in English and able to provide clear, detailed feedback.

Application Requirements

• Your publishing background, including whether you are traditionally or self-published.

• Proof of at least 1,000 units sold for one of your titles (e.g., screenshot of sales dashboard, publisher statement).

• A brief overview of your most recent publication or update within the last 12 months.

• Confirmation of your regular writing practice and the digital tools you utilise.

• Confirmation of your experience with both digital and physical distribution.

• A short explanation of your experience with audience building/MarTech.

• Your availability for a 30-minute remote interview within the next month.

Evaluation Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

• Demonstrated experience as a published author with sales (1,000+ units).

• Relevance of recent publishing activity (title released/updated in past 12 months).

• Clarity and detail of responses regarding writing practice, tool usage, and distribution experience.

• Ability to articulate insights on audience building and MarTech.

• Overall suitability for providing valuable product feedback.

• Availability for the interview within the specified timeframe.

Compensation

Compensation range: 25 - 50 USDC for a 30-minute interview. We are looking to interview a total of 10 participants for this project.
