The Solana Radar hackathon is coming up and the contestants need your help!

Solana hackathons are unlike others in that they're about more than writing code. They're a search function to find the next big startups being built on Solana. They are a startup competition.

This becomes clear when you see that they,

• are 5 weeks long so teams can market test their prototypes

• are run by a venture fund that offers $250K in pre-seed funding to 10 teams

• focus on not just code but also the quality of the problem statement

Your mission is to help participants find that next big idea.

Write a Twitter thread with 5 big ideas you would like to see built in the upcoming Solana Radar Hackathon.

Example of what to do:

Idea: Build a Blink that allows users to trade on Polymarket using Solana USDC.

Polymarket has gained significant traction in the past few months with the top prediction market having over $300M in liquidity. However, Solana users are unable to trade on Polymarket because they don't support deposits using SPL-USDC.

The idea is to build a Blink that allows users to 1) view a market, 2) make a deposit using SPL-USDC, 3) receive correspond tokens in their phantom wallet and 4) sell their position from a custom interface or blink. The product will need to manage custody risk so that user funds aren't at risk from a bridge or single point of failure.

This will allow Solana users to get access to a highly liquid prediction market and the platform can generate fees from each trade.

Example of what NOT to do:

• Idea: Build an NFT ticketing platform. Ticketing platforms are centralized so someone should make them decentralized.

• Idea: Build polymarket on Solana. Prediction markets will revolutionize consumer apps.

• Idea: Build land records on-chain because the govt can take your house.

The problem above is not with the quality of the ideas but with the lazy description of the problem, lack of supporting data & market opportunity and poorly explained solution.

You are encouraged to select niche ideas that you have specific knowledge in or that bring the power of Solana to other sectors like Climate, Agriculture, Local governance, etc. It's a good submission as long as you explain a real market opportunity and how a Solana startup can capture it.

Evaluation Criteria

Depth

• Did you enumerate & describe 5 big ideas that someone could build this hackathon?

• Did you provide original and well thought out ideas?

• Did you explain why each idea solves a real problem and could become a big startup?

• Did you use supporting data, case studies or market reports to support your idea?

• Did you include product mock-ups, screenshots or low fidelity wireframes to clearly communicate the idea?

• Did you explain how the product could potentially generate revenue in the future?

• If similar products already exist then did you specify how your idea is significantly different/better than them?

Writing Style

• Is your writing easy and fun to read?

• Did you avoid overly complex jargon?

• Did you explain concepts in a way a person new to crypto could understand?

Submission Requirements

• Did you write a thread with at least 15 tweets?

• Did you tag @SuperteamIN ?

• Did you include a CTA to sign up for the Solana Radar Hackathon?
