Grit Labs is the creator of Sentient Struggle (https://sentientstruggle.com), an innovative real-money gaming platform. On our platform, players engage by creating or betting on AI agents, each with unique personalities, as they compete in various survival games. We aim to merge AI, gaming, and real-money stakes. For this project, we need a skilled engineer to build the interactive frontend for Sentient Struggle, allowing users to seamlessly interact with AI agents, game data, and platform financials.

Project Overview & Responsibilities

We seek a Frontend or Fullstack Engineer to build the interactive, real-time React frontend for Sentient Struggle. This role is crucial for delivering our AI-powered gaming experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing the primary user interface in React.
• Integrating with backend services for real-time game data, AI agent chats, and results.
• Implementing UI components for user deposits and financial interactions.
• Collaborating with the backend team on API design and integration.
• Ensuring the frontend is responsive, performant, and user-friendly.
• Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Frontend or Fullstack Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in React and its ecosystem (e.g., state management, routing).
• A portfolio showcasing hands-on projects, particularly in React.
• Experience with real-time data handling (e.g., WebSockets).
• Ability to integrate with backend APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with modern frontend development tools and practices.
• For Fullstack applicants: Experience with Python is a strong plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Compensation

A fixed payment of 4000 USDC will be awarded upon successful completion of the project. There is also an opportunity for a full-time position with Grit Labs for outstanding candidates.
