If there’s anything crypto does best it is enabling capital formation and allowing access to a global pool of capital for talent and ideas to experiment and innovate.
There’s been a surge in new launchpads across crypto twitter allowing teams/devs to raise capital in very unique ways to be able to fund their ideas, find a community, build distribution and grow in public. This means that builders now have a very real and important decision to make while choosing a launchpad for their token launch.
We want you to write a deep dive highlighting the various token launchpads, at least the most prominent ones
You can choose to cover the top 3 or the top 5 and draw comparisons between each (Believe App, Pump, Devfun, and others)
Include MetaDAO as one of the launchpads in your analysis
Highlight the pro’s and con’s of using one launchpad over the other
As a founder raising money and an investor
Try and provide as many unique insights into this as possible
You want to include everything from legal, technical, token, growth to governance, ease of investment, UX, and more
Dive deep into the token launch mechanism
Token distribution: How are the tokens allocated? Do these platforms use bonding curves or other mechanisms? What kind of holder can one expect on each launchpad? And any other questions you may deem relevant
Potential for attracting and nurturing quality builders/teams/ideas
Highlight the types of founders raising capital and the launchpad each founder type would be best suited for
To produce some quality case studies you can even take examples of existing founders/teams that haven’t yet TGE’d or raised private capital and highlight how they could execute a launchpad TGE strategy
You can share a launchpad & token strategy
Highlight the particular benefits for this team
And any other recommendations you would like to include
You can also share video or images for better visualisation but this isn’t mandatory. However this will be considered as a bonus
The above is a non-exhaustive list of ideas on the structure of the deep dive but feel free to add anything additional that you would consider relevant
Think of this as an opportunity to really understand launchpads and fundraising deeply and potentially even get introduced to new builders & teams. You could even interview some teams that have already raised on these launchpad to get their feedback
For the essay
Clarity of idea
Deep research and unique insights
Clean and easy to understand visualisation or explanations
Bonus points for reach on content published.
For the interviews
Select submissions will also win $100 per entry from a pool for quality founder interviews
$300 split amongst 3 separate winners
These could also be the same as those winning the first and second place
Criteria for a good interview
Founders’ vision of the product & why they chose a launchpad and their decision-making process
Gather quality insights from a founder on their experience of using a launchpad, or what could be done better
Did you write a compelling introduction and a satisfying conclusion?
Is your writing easy and fun to read?
Did you avoid overly complex jargon?
Did you explain concepts in a way a person new to crypto could understand?
Did you write your essay in English?
Is your submission at least 1,000 words? Note that typical bounty winners are ~2,000 words.
Did you include links to your sources under the title “References”? If you have used external sources and no references are included, your bounty could be rejected on grounds of plagiarism.
If you highlight teams or reach out to founders, do not spam them. Be respectful in your approach.
Low effort and/or AI generated submissions will be disqualified.
You can post this on substack or medium and convert it into a twitter thread
Mention @metadaoproject on twitter when you post the essay
First Place: $1000
Second Place: $300
Bonus prize: $100 (3 winners) for the best founder interviews
Participation in this bounty is entirely voluntary. Bounties are a way to learn and dabble in opportunities to build in web3. These are neither full time jobs nor project based engagement. Please be advised that the sponsors will not have time for individualized feedback due to the number of entries we receive.
