Hackathon Track: Rethinking Finance with Blockchain

Participants are encouraged to build on the following concepts or propose their own:

1. Composable DeFi Building Blocks for Banks: Create interoperable modules (e.g., lending, KYC, custody) that banks can plug into existing infrastructure to offer DeFi-like services in a compliant way.

2. On-chain Credit Scoring: Build a decentralized credit scoring mechanism unlocking DeFi access for underbanked individuals and SMEs.

3. MiCA-Compliant Stablecoin Solution: Develop a euro-backed stablecoin system that includes built-in compliance features (e.g., whitelisting, freeze functions) in line with EU’s MiCA regulations.

4. Tokenized Assets: Enable fractional ownership and trading of real-world assets (e.g., bonds, real estate, commodities).

5. Blockchain-Integrated Invoicing & Trade Finance: Develop smart contract-based invoice finance solutions — where invoices are tokenized and used as collateral, with real-time payment tracking and risk scoring.

Judging Criteria

The judging criteria for the Commerzbank Neosfer Germany Track will mirror that of the global hackathon. This means the following criteria will be considered: product functionality, potential impact, novelty, UX, whether or not open-sourced, and business plan.
