This is a special Radar Hackathon track hosted exclusively on Superteam Earn.

Namma Yatri is partnering with Superteam India on a dedicated prize track for the Solana Radar hackathon powered by Colosseum. We’re inviting founders, developers, policy professionals, etc. to develop a token based governance framework for Namma Yatri to facilitate decision making across its various stakeholders, i.e. drivers, passengers and app developers. The token should also have earning and spending mechanisms throughout the app and wider ecosystem.<h2>About Namma Yatri</h2>In its first 2 years, Namma Yatri has signed up over 4 Lakh drivers &amp; ~80 Lakh customers who completed ~5 Cr trips and generated over 750 Cr in driver earnings. It has shown that a market based alternative to a high commission duopoly.<img style="align-item:center; width: 100%; height: auto; cursor: pointer;" src="https://res.cloudinary.com/dgvnuwspr/image/upload/v1724736634/listing-description/fkrkzadfimhl35gu0t8x.png" draggable="true">Your Mission: Design a governance solution that allows riders, customers, unions and app developers to cooperatively govern the Namma Yatri app.&nbsp;We’re open to all ideas but broadly we think this will involve the following,<ol><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Drivers &amp; passengers earn a governance token based on how much they contribute to the Namma Yatri network.&nbsp;</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Token holders from within the community create proposals around topics like the pricing structure, platform fees, policy decisions, etc.&nbsp;</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Depending on relevance either the driver, passenger or any token holder will have the ability to vote on the proposal.&nbsp;</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Voting power is weighted by tokens held and incentives can be aligned further by prioritising holders who lock up tokens for a larger time horizon.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Holders can delegate their tokens (e.g. to a union) or trade their tokens with certain restrictions.</li></ol>Additional token utilities across the ecosystem could include,<ol><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Drivers earn tokens for completing certain trip milestones, providing purple rides (e.g. to and from hospitals), etc.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Drivers spend tokens for getting priority services like selecting destinations they’d like to service, etc.&nbsp;</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Simplified DeFi integration (staking, lending/borrowing, swap) from within the app.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol>The ideal submission will,<ol><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Detail out the proposed governance model, proposal workflow and incentive structure across all stakeholders, i.e. riders, customers &amp; app developers.&nbsp;</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Create a product simple enough for anyone with a smartphone without any prior crypto knowledge to use.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Design a proposal workflow for creating, debating &amp; voting on proposals.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Enforce certain built-in checks to fight spam and takeovers of the system.</li></ol>Projects will be evaluated based on usability, innovative blockchain use, adaptability, and compliance with local data &amp; other laws.<h2>Prizes</h2><ul><li>🥇 First Prize: $3000 USDC</li><li>🥈 Second Prize: $1250 USDC</li><li>🥉 Third Prize: $750 USDC</li></ul>All winners will receive a member role in Superteam India.
