About $BLOCK

$BLOCK is the native token of the Blockasset ecosystem, powering both Blockasset and BlockBet.

Launched in 2021, it’s one of the few tokens that has stood the test of time while many others have disappeared. The token tested all-time highs at multiple occasions with a limited utility offering, and now, with BlockBet live, $BLOCK is directly tied to a real revenue-generating product. This makes it primed to succeed regardless of market conditions.

Currently sitting only at a ~$18M market cap, $BLOCK is one of the most promising new players in the GambleFi space and offers several key utilities:

• Staking: Users can stake $BLOCK and earn rewards based on the sportsbook & casino performance, with current returns of up to 24% APY.

• Buybacks: A portion of the circulating supply is bought back monthly to reduce supply and increase scarcity.

• Enhanced perks on BlockBet: $BLOCK holders gain access to features like increased cashback (up to 30%), better odds, exclusive missions, and more.

• "Own the House": A new staking model coming soon that will allow $BLOCK stakers to share in BlockBet revenue, effectively giving them a stake in the house.

We were overwhelmed by the quality of submissions during the first thread bounty, so we’ve decided to run it back.

This time, the spotlight is on $BLOCK, the token powering the entire ecosystem.

Your mission is to create a Twitter thread that helps others understand why $BLOCK matters right now.
Use your voice and preferred style, whether that’s narrative, data-backed, visual, or comparative. Just make sure it’s clear, engaging, and informative.

What to Cover

You don’t need to include everything below, but aim to cover at least three of these points:

• $BLOCK launched in 2021 and is stronger than ever today
  The token has stayed strong through multiple market cycles while many others disappeared. Its all-time high was tested several times with a far more limited utility offering than what BlockBet brings now. Early whales and private sale participants have been flushed out, with all vesting completed as of February 2024. The current holder base largely consists of newer holders & users who are aligned with BlockBet’s vision.
  

• GambleFi pivot with real revenue
  With BlockBet live, $BLOCK is now tied to a real, revenue-generating product. This gives it stronger fundamentals and potential long-term sustainability compared to speculative tokens that rely solely on market hype and vaporware.
  

• Buybacks are already making an impact
  Buybacks began in January, and so far over 7% of the supply has been repurchased, helping drive the price from $0.026 to $0.07. In May, BlockBet will implement daily buybacks on profitable days, purchasing $BLOCK at a 100% rate based on platform revenue. This will intensify buy-side pressure and accelerate supply shock, with the goal of reaching 20% of the total supply by the end of the year.
  

• More revenue = more $BLOCK bought back
  As BlockBet scales and generates more revenue, buybacks will increase. This creates ongoing supply pressure and makes $BLOCK more scarce. Threads should highlight the connection between growth and token demand.
