About the $20,000 BAXATHON 

BAXUS and BlueGrass DAO are launching the 10-day BAXATHON to solve tangible problems in the wine and spirits industry, gain exposure to the drinks sector, and collaborate with one of the most innovative projects in the Solana ecosystem.

All bounties represent MVPs of potential real products that we plan to incorporate into our architecture. We're looking to connect with developers who are genuinely passionate about this space and interested in continued collaboration beyond the hackathon.

Kentucky Derby Opportunity: The entire BAXUS Team will be attending the Kentucky Derby during the first week of May and/or Accelerate at the end of May. Outstanding contributors may be invited to join us for a week of bourbon, bluegrass, horse racing, coding, community, and all things Americana. 

Submission Timeline: April 16 to April 26, 2025 

The hackathon will begin on April 16, 2025, and all submissions must be completed by April 26, 2025 (11:59 PM UTC). 

The aim is to produce technology that can be immediately integrated into the BAXUS tech stack and develop use cases for being a founding contributor and supporter of BlueGrass DAO. The competition consists of three bounties, each with their own cash rewards. The top submissions across all bounties will be eligible to win a Solana Genesis Barrel (details below). 

BAXUS is a peer-to-peer wine and whiskey exchange. Built on Solana in 2022, we tokenize every bottle that is stored in our vaults and barrel on our platform to give users proof of ownership and authenticity, liquidity, and the ability to trade each asset on our marketplace. We value transparency and it is at the heart of everything that we do and build.

BlueGrass DAO is proud to be part of the Solana Americana events taking place across the United States. Representing Kentucky as a Solana Superteam, we’re hosting a series of community gatherings designed to accelerate innovation and connection-set against the backdrop of a country road that leads to #Accelerate.

Our home base is a historic bourbon bar named after a Triple Crown-winning horse, just a few blocks from the legendary Churchill Downs. Through meet-ups, tastings, workshops, open office hours, and lively whiskey-infused jamborees, we bring together the worlds of bourbon, bluegrass, and blockchain in true Kentucky Americana style. 

How to Participate 

To qualify for the grand prize, submit your work to at least one of the three BAXUS bounties currently live on Superteam Earn:

• AI Agent: Bob ($3,000)

• ML Image Classification: Whisky Goggles ($3,000)

• Chrome Extension: The Honey Barrel ($3,000)

Participants can submit to multiple bounties. There is no separate submission required for the grand prize — all entries will be automatically considered. Spammers or low-quality submissions will be immediately disqualified from the Grand Prize.

Submit your projects on Earn, click on 'Submit Now'. An eligible submission includes these 3 materials:

1) Main submission is a link to a GitHub repo: Pull our template repos specified in the individual bounties and make a public facing repository with instructions for how to run it locally. 

2) Demo Video (Maximum 2 Minutes): A short YouTube video demonstrating your work in action! 

3) Social Media Post: A relevant post about your demo on social platforms (X required) and tag @baxusco and #BAXATHON

Given the high volume of submissions expected, the sponsor will not be able to provide individualized feedback. Additionally, you may be asked to submit KYC details and/or submit an invoice to receive your payment if you win. You also must be of legal drinking age in your country to participate in the Grand Prize.
