Powering the EVolution on SolanaDeCharge is building a decentralized, community-powered EV charging network on Solana. Our mission is to make clean energy accessible and community-owned, while bringing real-world infrastructure (DePIN) onchain.We’re looking for builders who can use Solana’s speed, scalability, and composability to create applications that expand the DeCharge ecosystem from charging and discovery to onboarding and payments. Hackathon Track ScopeWe’re looking for applications that solve real EV charging challenges while leveraging Solana’s efficiency. Problem: Most Web3 users can’t directly participate in real EV charging ecosystems. Meanwhile, EV drivers who contribute to sustainable energy use earn no real-time on-chain recognition or reward for their activity. There’s no bridge connecting physical EV charging data with Web3 engagement and token utility. Possible Solution: Create a Solana-based app that visualizes real-world charging sessions in real time. Each charging session earns points for EV users based on per-watt or per-second usage, tracked through verified on-chain transactions.These points can be purchased by Web3 users, who may not have access to chargers at a 50% discount, creating an on-chain economy that connects real-world actions with digital participation. Features:<ul class="list-node"><li>Live charging feed: Displays verified user charging sessions and energy used with the points accumulated for those charging sessions.</li><li>Per-watt or per-second billing: Payments processed through Solana Pay + traditional fiat methods for low-fee microtransactions.</li><li>Earn &amp; trade points: Drivers earn points for every session; Web3 users can buy these points at discounted rates.</li><li>On-chain transparency: All transactions, session data, and point transfers are recorded via Solana smart contracts for auditability. </li></ul>User Story:<ul class="list-node"><li>As an EV driver, I want to earn on-chain points every time I charge my vehicle so I can gain real-world and digital rewards for my energy use.</li><li>As a Web3 user, I want to buy these points at a discount so I can participate in the EV ecosystem even without access to chargers.</li><li>As a platform, we want to bridge real-world sustainability data with blockchain utility, creating a live, transparent reward economy powered by Solana.</li></ul>Bonus Bounty: Virtual DeCharge WorldsMost blockchain based engagement platforms miss the mark when it comes to simulating real world EV ecosystems. There’s no immersive, gamified world that captures actual charging challenges while rewarding on-chain participation through community incentives, scarcity, and microtransactions.Think of addicted dot fun for EV Charging 😉 - a living map with limited charging spots, where users can own plots, install virtual chargers, and let others charge their vehicles.Think of it as the bridge between real charging behaviour and on-chain engagement, powered by creativity and scarcity.Reward StructureTop 3: $1000 each | 500$ Bonus track [Stay tuned!]Winners will also receive hands-on engineering and GTM support from the DeCharge team to deploy on mainnet.
